When people are worried they tend to turn to foods that are high in carbs and sugars. That is when it becomes time to consume some yams. These work as powerful stress-busters. They are high in fiber and full of vitamins that support the nervous system such as Vitamin A and E.

Peanut butter can help you if you feel irritable and exhausted from a lack of good sleep. Peanuts are high in Vitamin B6 which helps regulate blood sugar and stabilize mood. If you feel as if you cannot get your body to settle down and relax then drink some chamomile tea. It has been shown especially effective when it comes to suppressing muscle spasms.

Dark chocolate is another stress reliever. Just 1.4 ounces of dark chocolate can lower the stress hormones of cortical and ctecholamines in the body. This helps relieve anxiety.

St. John's Wort is a herb that is sometimes called 'The Break Up Remedy. It is useful for treating mild to severe depression. It can be taken in pill form as a supplement or you can take it as a tea.

If you are having trouble falling asleep then try having a few slices of turkey. Turkey contains tryphotan which helps people doze off. However although it may help people fall asleep it does not necessarily help them stay asleep.

Another herbal tea that can help with anxiety, especially the kind that has you worrying about finances or health, is Passionflower. It is very common and is a well –recognized over the counter sedative.

Valerian root is another common herb used to calm people down and put them right to sleep… You can but it as jukes, tablets, teas, tinctures. It is known as Nature's Valium.

Of course before taking any herb or any food in excess you really do need to consult with your doctor to make sure it will not conflict with any existing health conditions or mediations you are taking.

Eating Breakfast for Dinner

If you are bored of the same old eating routine why not switch it up a bit. There is absolutely no reason why you can't eat breakfast for dinner every now and then. Plus eating breakfast for dinner might be give your budget a little break as having bacon and eggs instead of steak and potatoes is generally a little easier on the pocket book.
For an exotic treat from the Far East you might try making omelets from dill, eggs, scallions and fish sauce. This makes the omelets extra spicy and a bit more exotic so that it suits supper time.

If you adore omelet's but want something a bit more interesting you can take the concept one step further and make an omeletter soufflé. In this case you take some eggs, sharp cheese, butter and sea salt and the beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. You then pour it in a skillet and let the broiler do the work of allowing it to raise.

Another glamorous dish is yeasty waffles. These are waffles made with yeast instead of baking soda which makes them heavier, richer and sweeter. They are best served with a big dollop of fresh butter or yogurt.

Think about going Mexican by combining scrambled eggs, bacon cheese, spinach, tomatoes, red pepper, avocado, hot sauce and sour cream into a burrito wrap. This is also a very healthy recipe full of fiber and vitamins. Another great Mexican recipe is Huevos Rancheros which is red and green peppers served on a tomato salsa and a corn tortilla.

Yet another good recipe is eggs baked in roasted tomato sauce. Sometimes sausage, ribs or meatballs are combined with the eggs to make a delicious meal.

A very glamorous dish is a sandwich called a torta which consists of fried eggs, spinach, pulled pork and roasted jalapeno. Any breakfast sandwich can be concocted form an array of breads or fillings. A nice combination is biscuits filled with very sharp old cheddar, strawberry jam, an egg and Italian sausage.
