New Toys for 2012

When it comes to toys that are expected to be released to an excited public in 2012 there are a few new novelties worth mentioning. Your kid probably already knows about them even though they just got on the market.

Hasbro is putting out a lot of new toys this year, especially ones that are tied to big movie releases of old science fiction and cartoon classics that are coming out on Blu Ray or in the movie theaters. There is now a new series of Avengers toys along with a redone miniature plastic model of the vintage Iron Man. This Iron Man is bright red with silver detail. The toy company has also come out with models of Hawkeye and the Black Widow both sporting a lot o pouches and big weapons. They have also made a model of Captain America which is 1950s looking with red gloves, a sky blue suit and a shiny little shield that looks like a bulls eye with a star in the middle of it.
The toy company Hasbrow has also released a red and blue version of Spiderman and Leia and Lando from Star Wars in desert gear. The company is also releasing a life size Darth Maul style double-sided lightsaber to tie into the 3-D release of the classic Star Wars film.

This year Disney has unveiled a DisneyBaby.com empire that includes Disney product collections including magical toys, bath toys, cuddly toys and baby gear decorated with everyone's favorite Disney characters.

The company White Rabbit England is launching a new collection for 2012 including lots of soft, fluffy rabbit toys, an embroider blanket with soft fluffy rabbis on it and Staffordshire pottery with the white rabbit on it. Other new products made by White Rabbit England for 2012 include a dog lamp, a cat lamp and a keepsake box with the famous image of the White Rabbit on it.

Apple's iPad has also launched a new iPad game that allows humans to play games in real time with live farm pigs. From their iPad humans press a button on a screen. This is connected to a Wiii type screen in a Danish pig farm in which bored pigs press their snouts against a touch sensitive display to try and produce virtual sparks of light. This is a game that works because pigs display the same kind of curiosity as humans when they are bored and will learn how to press their snouts against an interactive screen.
